Crites is scheduled to appear at the grand opening of the Knox County Republican headquarters very soon according to an article in the Mount Vernon News (8-4). That ought to bring in the big bucks for him.

While Richard Cordray is out raising cash for his run for Attorney General, it appears that Mike Crites is out there doing pretty much nothing.

Crites filed today and I must say they are some pretty impressive numbers:

Amt Forward: $.00
Contributions Recieved: $.00
Other Income: $.00
Balance on Hand: $.00

Of course, a candidate really doesn't have to do any fundraising when the ORP is paying all your bills. And obviously they're doing this with no strings attached. It's not like Crites will be Bob Bennett's puppet if he actually manages to win or anything.

The lamb also tried to pull the Marc Dann scandal back into the public spotlight, even though it's not really relevant anymore. Thankfully, the Cordray campaign hit back:

Richard Cordray acted on behalf of at least 4.7 million Ohioans who want to see unfair credit card practices brought to a halt. If the fines, fees, and charges that credit card companies rack up at the expense of working families make such a huge difference to the corporate bottom line, imagine what it means to working families who are trying to juggle rising gas and food prices.

His opponent, on the other hand, wants to form a committee...to do something the office is already doing: managing and cooperating with ongoing investigations.

Additionally, Rich Cordray and the state's Democratic leaders acted in the best interest of Ohioans and the Attorney General's office three months ago when they asked and received Dann's resignation.

Where was D. Michael Crites during that crisis?

Cordray is showing real-time leadership while Crites is once again behind the curve.

And Crites get's slapped down yet again.
