OYD&#39;s Youth Voter Turnout Plan (I call it Buck-iVote08) calls for knocking on 52,000 doors in precincts containing at least 25% of voters between the age of 18-35 throughout the state.  This peer-to-peer contact plan is intended to increase youth voter turnout in Ohio 157% over the 2004 election. </p><p>The plan makes sense. Since roughly 80% of young people are engaged in following the 2008 election thus far (compared to only 42% in 2004), and since young people have voted heavily Democratic in the last two election cycles, targeting young people with GOTV drives is a good investment in this election cycle.
