The latest Quinnipiac Poll has a few surprises in it. The headline on the poll pretty much says it all:

OBAMA LEADS McCAIN IN FLORIDA, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY SWING STATE POLL FINDS; CLINTON ON THE TICKET DOES NOT HELP DEMS

Can't beat that, now can you?

Specifically the poll shows:

Florida: Obama edges McCain 47 – 43 percent

Ohio: Obama tops McCain 48 – 42 percent

Pennsylvania: Obama leads McCain 52 – 40 percent

The poll also shows that while Democrats prefer the idea of having Clinton as VP, Republicans and Independents are firmly against it.

And Bush's approval rating in Ohio? A paltry 22%.
