Mike Turner KICKED OUT of 2 Voting Stations!

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/3/101938/781/84/650798

As of today, Mike Turner (REPUBLICAN oh-3) has been physically removed from 2 county boards of elections (Montgomery/Clinton) due to "campaigning" within the 100 feet from polls mark. the above link details the story and the Jane Mitakides for Congress response.

Jane's daughter, son, and husband, have all been witness to Mike Turner's and his staff's ILLEGAL actions; the campaign has filed an election complaint with the SOS, Jennifer Brunner, and Katie (Jane's daughter) is [rumored to be] seeking criminal charges against the GOP staffer who physically assaulted her on Saturday.

Is this guy really this desperate? Does he really have NOTHING else to run on except a lie?

Damn! GO JANE GO!

Tuesday Preview

When Jane Mitakides' kids were little, they used to look forward to going home and putting on "pajamas with feets." Jane must be looking forward to Tuesday & it's Republican "defeats!"

I volunteered at the polls today, and the response was overwhelming! People came out high-fiving Jane and talking about how happy they were to vote. Gov. Strickland stopped by and talked with Jane for a while.

Voter turnout has been incredible in Dayton this weekend, and it keeps looking up - Go Jane!

I heard her at a GLBT event,

I heard her at a GLBT event, and it was positively brilliant. One line that stuck in my mind was "hate and discrimination are not family values." Talk about a biting remark. Also, you don't even have to go to the event; you can just give money to the campaign. It certainly seems worth it to replace Turner with Jane.

Amendment

On the money issue, you forgot names such as Oprah, Katie Couric, Harrison Ford, or even Michael Jackson...

Seriously though, I agree with Dress.Me.Blue--it is always up to the voters, who, in the long run are choosing a candidate on the basis of their ability to produce results, to change corrupt systems, etc.

Voters don't elect congressmen on the size of their wallets, but rather the size of their heart, their brain, and the amount of courage, time, energy and effort they are willing to throw at the massive political problems facing our country today.

And that's why I'm voting for Jane. Has anyone heard her speak? Because, if you haven't...well, you are missing out on something truly special! This woman is inspiring. You can tell the minute she opens her mouth that she believes with her whole heart in serving her country.

One last thing: CreatedEqual, if you're so worried that others have given up on the financial success of Jane's campaign, then be the change you want to see and go to the Big Fat Greek Fundraiser!! I hear its going to be amazing!

If money alone decided

If money alone decided elections, we'd have President Steve Forbes, Senator Michael Huffington, or even Mitt Romney.

In the final analysis - it's always about the voters.

Information

I hate to burst your bubble, I really do, but Mitakides has actually been OUT raised by Turner 3-1. Also, the fact that outside groups like the DCCC aren't pitching in and contributing to this campaign in terms of money or advertisements makes me nervous that they've given up on her campaign. Check out the article by the Dayton Daily:

http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/09/21/ddn092108congressfunds.html

Voter Registration

Montgomery County is averaging 3,000 new registered voters per week - this is HUGE! OH-3 was gerrymandered to give the GOP a solid base. This was an R+3 district; however, given the overwhelming increase in voter registraion, particularly within the Dem-heavy city of Dayton, OH-3 is most likely tied, if not Dem leaning. Jane Mitakides can turn OH-3 from red to blue. Ted Strickland carried this district, as did Barack Obama in the primary - keep in mind, this was DeWine country. "Change" has been talked about so much this year, but it is visible in OH-3!

OH-3 is an increasingly

OH-3 is an increasingly democratic region and Mitakides has a good campaign with focuses on the environment and creating jobs for OH-3. With the Moraine GM plant closing, jobs are more and more important to the people of OH-3.
