Maybe the sudden detente here is either part of operation chaos with the realization that Obama is far worse, or a drawn out primary is just what the GOP doctor ordered.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;During 1996, when I was paid staff on the Clinton Gore campaign here in Ohio, I was well briefed on who Richard Mellon Scaife was.  Every single Clinton staffer knew who he was.  To see this woman sit down with this guy, in an obviously calculated effort to hit Barack, really is a sucker punch to the gut.  Guess that makes me a sucker. &lt;/p&gt;
