I voted earlier , around noon. Everything went well, professional , courteous, efficient.
I voted for Hillary and most people I know did also

She has the best chance at winning the general. Barack hasnt been vetted and when the swiftboats get thru with him, McCain will just destroy him in the General. Repigs tried to bring Senator Clinton down, for decades , and shes still standing.
Given enough time in the spotlight and theres nobody you would agree with everytime.

Eastlake (Lake County)

Voted at Eastlake 2C first thing this morning. Turnout was pretty good. Of the eight people in front of me, six took Dem tickets. Polls opened a couple minutes late, but nothing out-of-bounds. Poll workers were slow, but competent.

Heard the Obama leafletters had problems with Laketran trying to chase them out of the park-n-ride lots. Supposedly, Mentor PD was called to the one at Route 2 and Route 615. Saw them this afternoon at the Route 2 and Lloyd Road park-n-ride, so I guess everything is OK. They were happy to see my "voted" sticker and my Obama button.

Whoever is doing honk-n-wave this afternoon deserves a metal. I told this to the Obama campaign people at the downtown Cleveland HQ, and they got a good chuckle. Gave them the report above.

OHIO VOTING

This state should have fixed it's voting problems after the Gore/Bush election. Any people involved in voter fraud (or careless handlers of votes/voters concerns) should be promptly relieved of duty (if it can be shown they were irresponsible in some way) including anyone in a government position!

HILLARY CANNOT BE TRUSTED

I'M TELLING YOU FOLKS, HILLARY IS THE DIRTIEST PLAYER IN THIS GAME OF POLITICS. THIS COUNTRY WILL GO DOWN THE TOILET QUICKER THAN WATER IF SHE BECOMES THE NEXT PRESIDENT. IF YOU THOUGHT BUSH WAS BAD, WAIT, IT WILL GET WORSE YET IF HILLARY GETS IN. THESE ARE VERY SERIOUS TIMES. DON'T LOOK AT THE HILLARY OF THE 90's BECAUSE THAT HILLARY DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE. WHAT WE'VE GOT BEFORE US NOW IS A POWER HUNGRY MONSTER THAT WANTS EVERYTHING HER WAY! HOW CAN ANYONE FAIL TO ACKNOWLEDGE HER IMMATURITY LEVEL, HER OBNOXIOUS BEHAVIOR, AND HER DIRTY TACTICS? SHE HELPED PASS THE INFAMOUS "REAL ID ACT" ! IS THIS WHO WE REALLY WANT IN THE WHITE HOUSE?

Precinct 42-B, voting at the Assembly of God at 4099 Karl Rove...even though I brought all my ID but a photo ID (which is not required), I was forced to vote on a provisional ballot. They were incompetent and somewhat rude and I'm not even sure they filled out the damn envelope for the ballot correctly (they didn't know their own precinct number, ballot type, etc). I wrote about it on newsvine, link: http://indecent.newsvine.com/_news/2008/03/04/1342615-ohio-poll-worker-incompetency-a-disenfranchised-voter

I voted at around 11:00 a.m. and it was fairly slow. I asked the poll workers what the turnout had been like and they said just a steady stream all day, but no huge crowds, even when they opened. I'm guessing there is a good bit of absentee/early voting in this area of Columbus.

1pm poll checks?

Anybody have the 1pm poll check numbers from bellwether Dem precincts? That's a much better way to judge turnout than just estimating based on how long the lines were where you voted... You usually have to go to the actual polling location to get these numbers.

OHIO BEWARE: WHAT HILLARY AND VOINOVICH DID!

How unfortunate that Ohio's own U.S. senator Vionovich co-sponsored the infamous "Real Id Act" legislation which was passed by the senate on 7/26/07. This act strips away any leftover privacy rights we had remaining after the Patriot Act became law. Even gun right advocates do not support this Act. Barack Obama (and even John McCain) did not vote on this piece of legislation, while Hillary and senator Voinovich voted "yes" on passing it. My question is this: How far do the good people of Ohio want their rights stripped away in the name of national security? Is anyone even aware that this legislation actually helps give our government the power to implant microchips in all U.S. citizens? My God, wake up sleepy heads! If you don't want your rights taken away, then support Barack Obama now before it's too late! On May 10th, 2005 both Hillary and Barack seriously questioned the need for such an Act, but then in 2007 Hillary voted for it, while Barrack stuck to his reservations about it and did not vote yes or no - he voted NV (No Vote)!

Voting in Worthington

I voted early, but my daughter voted at our polling place Worthington 3-B. She said there was nobody else here (early afternoon), and she had to argue with the poll worker who wanted her to vote provisionally because she hasn't gotten a new driver's license with our home address on it since moving back -- but she had her latest bank statement. The presiding judge sided with her, and she voted normally.

I voted early but visited my father who is a presiding judge at a precinct. D vs. R turnout was obviously higher in Dems favor, but he said more than a few voters said "I'm a Republican but can I vote in the Dem primary?" I'm not certain who that cross-over would favor, but I can't see many of them voting for Clinton.
