seems to be based on a 1972 or thereabouts vintage model.

This is not a typical year, it is an atypical year.

The Dispatch tried to cover its ass by saying to the effect that if a lot of independents vote in the Dem primary, it will change the result.

The screen uses 9% of independants. No way this will be true on Election Day. It seriously understates O's support.

Another that seems like an outlier, given the general tightening across the rest of the major polls.

Hillary Clinton 51.3%
Barack Obama 42.3
John Edwards 6.0
Other 0.4

Gotta wonder if the John Edwards support is somehow an anomaly, or if it trends Obama.
