obama is already funded by the public

hundreds of thousands of small donors.

the entire argument for public financing is that it is impossible for good candidates to get big money without bending over for the special interests. well, that's another piece of history Obama is making.

why take public financing when a huge swath of the public already finances you?

I'd think you were putting these comments as posts simply to push the negative stories about Obama off the front page of this site, Tim.

We have comments for each post for a reason, Tim. This is the second "post" on the same Obama story that is nothing more than a passing comment.

Obama has a slight lead in delegates right now. That's hardly a freight train.

Obama was the one who made the commitment, not Hillary.

Quit blaming Hillary for your candidate's awkward position of having a promise come back and bite him.

Note that I'm posting this as a comment, and not a separate post.

Obama should keep to his word, not to pacify John McCain, but because he promised it and he's supposed to be someone who believes in public financing and doesn't say one thing and then do another when his past becomes politically inconvenient for him.

And should disengage it to pacify John McCain. At least, that's what some are saying? Give me a break.

I find it funny that all the Hillary folks are watching this vastly different presidential campaign running over her like a freight train, precisely because of it's uniqueness, and now want to remove the uniqueness of it to make a point.
