I understand your view that of course Hillary Clinton would be a change from the current Bush administration, but that isn't lighting a fire among the electorate: "I'm better than Bush" is not exactly a rebel yell...

"Some Say" that those who support Obama do so without a clue, and do so because of a "Svengali" effect his has on his "cult".

I say that it is unfortunate, in this age of the Internet, that folks aren’t able to inform themselves, yet are able to post on a Political blog to have a say.

I have done my research on Sen. Obama, and so have many of the others who support him. Maybe that is why he is attracting the most educated progressives in this nation; maybe it is because they do their homework, and do not rely on name recognition to determine whom to vote for.

By the way I have spoked to a number of our fellow Ohioans Black and white have looked at the church website

All of your questions can be answered with a teeny amount of research. Of course, you're not interested in the answers or you would have looked. But in the interest of helping out those who are honestly trying to find info....

Declaring the Iranian Guard to be a terrorist org was one of Bush's preludes to invading Iran. Congress had handed Bush a blank check invade Iraq and it wasn't hard to figure out Bush should be kept as far from military power in the Mideast as possible. Edwards wasn't in the senate during the vote, but according to the NYT, he would have voted against it, too.

The Israeli's aren't any more nervous about Obama than Clinton. If you mean AIPAC, say so. They're not Israel, no matter how much the wingnuts seem to forget that.

Can you source where the Kenyan govt won't talk to Obama? I don't know which right wing talking points you're citing from, so I can't tell the direction you're trying to go in.

He goes to an AfroCentrist church. I think you mean a church that lots of blacks attend. I attend a church with lots of whites. Some of the people that go there have some pretty stupid views, but I try to love them anyway. Just like your church, I'm sure.

Many of his relatives are muslim. Many of mine are farmers. So?

There are a lot of *very* good reasons to vote for McCain and HRC. Your's aren't among them.

Why do you suppose Obama did not vote for the resolution declaring the Iranian Republic Guard to be a terrorist organization as did Clinton and Edwards? Why do you suppose the Israeli's are getting nervous about Obama? Why do you suppose the Kenyan Government will no longer talk to Obama? He may not be a Muslim but he does belong to an Afro centric church and has supported Muslim organizations and many of his relatives are Muslim. When you dig a bit you see this is not a mainstream politician and its only a matter o time before many African Americans are shocked at who they are supporting to say nothing of the rest of his base.

Egotistical? I think not. But what I will tell you is that I'm fed up with vitriol on both sides and on this particular blog, you get the same parroted phrase from people who haven't taken the time to do a simple thing like LOOK IT UP.

Secondly, you're a frakkin' hypocrite. You don't want to hear Barack Obama's "rhetorics" but you do want to hear the "subsidence" behind it. Here you are: you want to know what's attractive about Obama? He doesn't treat his potential constituency like little children who need to be spoonfed his message.

I was damned well ready to support Hillary Clinton until her weaselly husband for whom I voted twice showed that he wasn't as smart as he thought he was. Another factor: I heard Obama's New Hampshire concession speech. You know, one of those things filled with "rhetorics" and you know what I heard? A candidate who was gracious while losing and who could remove some of that cynicism that's been festering in my soul for about seven years now.

Outlining your plan on a website and speaking of it emphatically in a speech are 2 different things. I want to hear it out of the horses mouth, not via a computer. How many people in this country do not have a computer despite this being the age of the internet? Did you ever stop to think how many more people he would get to if he would speak about his plan outright instead of speaking a broken record of change and hope. I've been promised change and hope many an elections, and yet, we are as a country at our worst. So you see, entrwriter, the words out of one's mouth don't really mean much to me when I hear a cheerleader all the time. Put some subsidence behind it, and now you catch my attention.

If it's people like you and your egotistical attitudes that are voting Obama in to Presidency, then I'm afraid we are in for just another 4 years of questions being asked without anything being done to correct the situation. I sure hope Obama has more sense then you, that's for sure!!!!

....Similarly, people often wonder whether Obama's call for a new kind of politics is just empty words. Here again, I think he has a real record to point to. He has consistently worked for ethics reform. In Illinois, where he helped pass what the WaPo called "the most ambitious campaign reform in nearly 25 years, making Illinois one of the best in the nation on campaign finance disclosure." In the US Senate, he was the Democrats' point man on ethics, and was deeply involved in the ethics legislation passed this year. He didn't get all he wanted -- for instance, he and Russ Feingold couldn't get a bill establishing an Office of Public Integrity to deal with Congressional scandals. But he accomplished a lot, and wants to accomplish more....

The guy in NH who the Clinton campaign stiffed on rent finally got paid....and he's giving the money to Obama.

He said he’s doing it because he likes Obama, but also as a statement on the way he feels he was treated by the staff of the Clinton campaign. ‘It was the last straw for Hillary Clinton for me,” said Bennett.

Billary sure is using up a lot of those last straws! What about the guy in Iowa who the Clinton campaign owes $7,500 for cleaning services? Still waiting!

“I got a call on Sunday from the Clinton campaign who said they were putting the money in a two-day envelope,” said Reese. “Today is Wednesday, and I already got the mail, but there’s no check.”

Maybe he'll donate his check to Obama! Kind of a cool fundraising model - Ohio landlords can be the next middlemen!
