thank-you mark! i mean that. my curriosity about the whereabouts (figuratively speaking) have not gone away. for the record please know where i come from an unabashedly conservative point-of-view. i am just looking for constructive conversation, and some fun while i am at (e.g. the MVP's comment). I am most interested in stranglehold on my hometown...i'll leave this one open ended.

Maybe 'hate' was a strong word, but it seemed to me that you were reaching a bit with the "where is this guy? Where' s MVP Brown?" stuff, eh? Anyways, I'd like to personally welcome you to BSB, and let you know that I speak for most of us when I say that we welcome debate and conversation with folks of any political persuasion, with the hopes that things stay contructive and on-topic.

hate democrats? no. almost everyone is my family is one...yet, i get along with them all! Typically I stay off DK. It is tooo easy...kinda like beating a kindergartener in a spelling bee. Even you know that deep down inside. Two minutes was enough to handle DK in public in April...child's play. People in that audience came up to me and complimented me...and, laughed at DK. nuff said on DK.

As for the hate stuff...i had to deal with this issue the other day. See the problem is that your way of thinking comes of as disagree=hate. You don't even know me...yet you say: "I know you hate democrats." That is so unbecoming. C'mon. This isn't the play ground.

I just don't understand. Why does disagreement=hate for you guys?

A little jab at Sherrod Brown and I hate him? I asked an honest question peppered with a little sense of humor. Its not like i pointed out someone's family member's personal problems.

Even you said it: he's not effective.

Bottom line: I care about Ohio and Cleveland--its my home. If I thought...gasp...some dem could get the job done...i would vote for him. Unfortunately, NE Ohio...Cleveland in particular is littered with ineffective dems. Doesn't mean i hate them...its the truth. Just look...HONESTLY...at Cleveland.

I am sure this will give you more than enough to respond to.

time will tell you i (try) to stay off personal attacks...things that can be construed as hate, and stuff like that.

try not to label it as hate all the time...or, are you feeling guilty?

As for his website, yes, it's a bit outta date re the news section. He's commented on a number of stories/bills though via the PD and other news outlets. So, he does exist. He's been voting too, so we know he's showing up for work. I'm not really sure what your issue is, aside from an under-utilized web site and a lazy technical staff. I know you hate any and all Democrats, but it appears that you're making something out of nothing here. As for DK, that's another post altogther. The short of it is, I'm not personally impressed with him, and don't feel that he's an effective representative. If you're looking for a tussle, you'll have to do more than insult Dennis Kucinich. And this: "Maybe Jerid...JK...kinda like DK...oh wait Jerid might take that as a compliment..." What is that? Aren't you on your way to acquiring a PhD in chemistry or something? you oughta work on your socialization skills a bit. And just for the record, Jerid isn't a big DK fan either, for the same reason that I stated above.

Mark...we did meet at CWRU...and, yes DK it there where I had a little Q&A with DK.

I just don't know what to say about that guy. My freinds got me to take a picture outside his Lakewood office last night...next to his sign. Kind of funny if you know me. I wish I could post it.

Anyways...back to brown. What is up with this guy? Where is this guy? There has not been a peep from the brown camp. Did they lose the password to update his website? I have seen one story, and it was about him being stuck in a temporary office. Does anyone know what is going on with him? By the way...I have tried a little harder than my daily beaten path ;)

Maybe Jerid...JK...kinda like DK...oh wait Jerid might take that as a compliment...can find something out for me/us?

Maybe brown is still in orientation?

Ya, I haven't seen Brown either! I looked out my front door; no Brown! Went to school; Brown wasn't around there either! That guy...Anyway, Mike, I believe we met at CWRU a few months back at the DK peace forum. I was reporting for CSU's newspaper and caught up with you afterwards to get some comment. Pretty sure you're the same guy. Let's see, where was I going with this...I dont know.

Hey Jerid...why you are at it ask him if he has heard anyting from or seen Sherrod Brown. I know his constituents haven't. I figure you could do us..here in Ohio...a favor and get some inside information I keep checking his senate page newsroom to see what this guy is up to: http://brown.senate.gov/newsroom.cfm Guess he still must be moving into the office...or, something like that. Who knows. Anyhow, I figure maybe Chris Dodd could tell us what Mr. Brown has been up to. Could he be helping with the passport backlog?

Speaking of Ohio, I would like to know what he thinks of the past election and what he feels was the overriding reason the democrats turned so many offices to our side, and how can his campaign reach those same kind of voters? What's the message Ohio needs to hear that will get our attention?

How does he see the influence of blogs affecting the upcoming political season, and how can blogs become a positive force in our country's overall political culture?

What are the underlying principles that form the foundation of his point of view? For example, what inspired him to join the Peace Corps, and how did an experience like that shape his perspective?

How can the immigration debate be discussed from the "push" part of the equation, rather than the "pull" part? In other words, how can US policy be directed to help people where they live? How can we help to increase the hope for prosperity in their home countries?

How can the United States do better in our relations with oil-rich Venezuela? Why can't we figure out a way to do business within our own hemisphere? Wouldn't it be better for us to be involved in South America rather than the Middle East when it comes to our energy security? Why is Hugo Chavez so negatively characterized yet our nation is willing to do business with the Communists in China?

How can we restore our people's faith in our nation? How can we regain the trust and respect of the World?

This is what we've been waiting for. Trade policy and the manufacturing base? Renewable energy development in southern Ohio? Economic development in Appalachia? And quickly, I've got to give major props to the Dodd folks. They called ME up with this today. Said they had some extra time on Sunday after an event, asked if I'd like to sit down with the Senator. I asked are you kidding me!?! These guys "get it."
