DeWine: "I don't agree with John McCain..."

Today I saw the first semblance that the GOP Machine is getting ready to roll into Ohio for the Prezzie election. This afternoon, our old friend, former Senator Mike DeWine sent out his first email on behalf of Gramp...er, John Mccain . Your remember Mike, right?

I'm actually perplexed by this. I was thinking back to Obama's visit in February earlier this week, the escalating national primary calendar, and how everything just seems to be starting...already. It kind of blows me away that we really are starting the Presidential campaign. Regardless, today DeWine, McCain's Ohio Campaign Chair, sent out his first blast for Gramps. In it he made an interesting statement:

"I don't agree with John McCain on every issue. But, I do know that when we elect a President, we elect the Commander-in-Chief. We elect someone who is going to be making life and death decisions every single day. There is only one person I want making those decisions - and that person is John McCain."

It's just interesting that Mike DeWine, one of the GOP's former Senators who was supposedly at odds with his own party, has issues with Gramps, another man tagged as a party "Maverick." So I've got to ask, what does Mike DeWine disagree with Gramps on? Are these disagreements big enough to point out to the media - because in DeWine's first official publication for the campaign he's now on record saying that he's got a beef with John. I dunno, I find it curious.

Maybe Mike's just pissed Gramps won't take his campaign advice.
