And no, I can't do things at noon on a weekday because I'm busy earning a living. Perhaps you have more time... since you seem to, maybe read something here that Sirota has written and comment on the substance.

Now, I'm not married to Sirota, or Kucinich, or Brown, or anyone else. I do, however, take pride in the quality of the information I provide for others to read in this blog.

If you think what I write is "trolling", then you should look up the word... Nothing I write is intended to inspire anger, the fact that you respond knee-jerk with annoyance or anger is your problem, not mine.

I'm simply asking that everyone read more and attack less~ sometimes the stuff I've been reading here lately, frankly since Russ left, has been pretty lame~ short on quality, short on content, short on insight, short on effort.

So Bryan, I will not drop out, you will have to respond, ignore, or attack.

Your attacks have zero effect on me, your attention is not important to me, and if you care to respond, I welcome that intelligent discussion.

his swiftboating of hackett was not just anti-democratic -- it was just as ugly, vindictive, and downright republican as anything gw has done to his opponents. oh, and he was joined by jerome armstrong, markos, and their ilk -- both of whom scrubbed their websites of attacks on sherrod brown and front-paged attacks on paul hackett.

i don't care who you or i supported -- what they did was wrong. and, because of the lack of disclosure, at least unethical.

do we have a long way to go until 08? definitely. party strong-arm tactics like pushing strong contenders out of a primary have to stop.

bottom line -- i don't give a shit what happens to sirota. not a rational argument, but who ever said politics was rational?

Seems odd that male prostitutes like Jeff Gannon can easily get a press pass, yet a real journalist like Sirota is given the run-around. Whether you agree with someone's politics or don't, Congress should be open to all members of the news media, not a select few. There's no doubt that Brown & Sanders are a threat to the GOP and the corporate news media, but voters have signalled they want a change and the same old rules don't apply any more. Dems have a long way to go before 2008 and an early start on intraparty infighting is going to lower our odds of winning.

And in a very dishonest way. He clearly was part of the team working to retrofit the mistakes Brown made and make them seem innocent. One reason why I pick and choose from among the things Sirota backs.

I don't see an equivalence between the campaign Strickland ran and the one Obama has launched. Strickland never ceded territory to the Republicans before he even got started. He barely acknowleged them and forcused on a program of policies that were aimed at improving the lives of people. Especially after he was elected, he made it clear that he was willing to work with Republicans and he hoped they would work with him. They won't.

To me, Obama's statements are dreamy-eyed and unrealistic. He's basically offering himself as a doormat, talking about building bridges with people who only yesterday it was revealed have admitted they can't argue for the surge on its merits (it has none) so they will resort of smearing those who oppose it. They've also already relentlessly smeared Obama with stupidity (he went to a madrassah as a child, his church is racist because it preaches black pride). You can't build bridges with people like that. What Obama is saying to me smacks of making insider deals and not rocking the boat and being willing to give up in advance on ideas that benefit actual working people. Obama has some good ideas, but he needs to grow a spine to impress me.

As for Hillary she has to say she was wrong about her Iraq vote, and be a lot more emphatic about her intent to bring it to a close.

Just had to add that to remind bloggers where David stood when Paul Hackett was in the race. I also wanted to make a comment about the criticism Obama's taking. About a year ago if people can remember a congressman who was being criticized for the same approach of using the idea of unity over spcific policy changes. That man is our goverbnor today in spite of the bloggers calling him a see out and the newspapers sating that he didn't have a sexy agenda. I think it 8is smart what Obama is doing. I think most people vote for the masn not on detailed policy proposals that only Rahm Emmanual or Biden could spit out.

Word from the Sleuth is that David Sirota was denied a press pass. To get access to the subjects of his new book, (Senators Sanders, Brown and Tester) Sirota was given a intern pass from Senator Sanders. You can read Sirota's whine about it here. At the time of posting, Sirota had yet to find a way to blame Obama for this insult but word has it that he is still looking.
