As for RMC's comments on the tax bill...don't worry, you can usually find me on the weekend's in Cleveland at the wink or the wine cave...I'll be the sober one craftin' the napkin. And I've had my fair share of "fun", we'll leave it at that.

and i do apologize for dredging this back up, but reading that blog conversation taking place during the wee hours of sunday morning leads the casual observer to assume alcohol could/maybe/might have been involved. the hastiness in which things escalated conjured for this lush fond memories of barroom brawls over such pressing concerns as darts and billiards. on second thought, perhaps boozing and blogging should be encouraged...it has certainly made for a much more enjoyable monday.

jerid did well protecting his turf. sad to hear that our kind host abstains. but while his teetotaling is both boring and counterproductive(rostenkowski framed the '86 tax bill on the back of bar napkins), the same cannot be said for the obviously mean drunk, mr. hoffman. someone should have cut him off.

I don't mean to be cruel but do you really think he'd be engaged on a Saturday night? There isn't enough money or amnesia-inducing drugs in the world. A date with a bag of Cheetos on a Saturday is probably the best possible. And it's not necessarily looks although that helps. It's personality. Extreme is not attractive.

Over the weekend, Matt Naugle of Right Angle Blog posted a funny, if totally misleading, video about the ridiculous Pelosi plane controversy. It was a satire of VH1's show "Fabulous Life." Now anyone who knows me knows that I love a good youtube moment (see my work with Deborah Pryce's campaign staff), but I can't help taking a swipe at him for this one.

We don't really need to relive the story, but for anyone who doesn't know it was a pretty stupid thing for the righties to get inflamed about. Basically it happened like this: since 9/11, the military provides extra security for the Speaker including a plane for use on official business. The plane Hastert used didn't have the fuel capacity to reach San Franciso, so the House sergeant-at-arms asked for one that could make the whole trip. The righties blew up, and the rest is history. Anyways if you take a close look at Naugle's post, you make an interesting observation:
