"You Can't Handle the Blog"

Poor Skip- He must be taking a page from "CONGRESSMAN PAT TIBERI'S CAPITOL NOTEBOOK". Fortunate for the "livlihoods" of the real bloggers of the world, neither appears to have a masterful command of the English language. With nonsensical gems like "[p]olitics is about people and I love talking directly with the district" or "[t]he blog is a good compliment (sic) to the outreach my office does", I think that we can all sleep at night knowing the business of government is in good hands.

GillmorBlog worse than RAB

I offered a comment in response to St. Paul's "Questionnaire" story, and asked why he called the estate tax the "death tax" instead of the "Paris Hilton tax". I didn't swear or call people any names, but apparently this taxpayer's comments aren't worthy of posting. I'm soooooooooooo glad my tax dollars are hard at work promoting Skip Gillmor's Republican agenda. What a jerk!

GillmorBlog.com is up and running!!!!

Congressman Paul Gillmor (R - Old FOrt, but really Dublin) has started his own blog. I can hardly contain my excitement!

St. Paul announces his moderated blog as follows:

Blogging Across Ohio Filed under: All Posts, Telecommunications, Keeping in Touch, Your Democracy — Paul Gillmor
at 12:49 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2006
I just sent out a press release unveiling my blog to anyone who hasn’t visited my website in a while. It turns out that I am one of only a handful of Members of Congress using blogs to communicate with their constituents and the only Ohioan using an official blog to outline the work of Congress.

Blogs are new to me. But I enjoy the chance to post stories and articles about the issues which matter to the district. Technology has come so far over the years and I want to ensure that each person in the district has every means possible to communicate with me and stay informed about the government.

The blog is a good compliment to the outreach my office does every year. As I have throughout my career, I will continue to stay in touch with the views of the district through my regular public meetings, plant tours, and by speaking with organizations across the Fifth District.

Politics is about people and I love talking directly with the district. If you don’t like speaking with people and telling them your views or how you plan to vote, you probably shouldn’t be in politics.
