Democrats Have Consciences

Ohio's Secretary of State has recently decided to change the stickers voters receive at the polls from the traditional "I Voted Today!" to "I Voted Today -- Change our World. Vote Your Conscience." This change has met controversy and has garnered significant national attention. Many have assumed that this sticker has significant religious overtones, which might be true, and that it therefore favors the Republicans in the upcoming election.

However, I disagree. I hope that people vote their consciences and I would expect nothing less from patriotic Americans. I believe that when Americans vote their consciences this November, they will vote to raise the minimum wage to recognize the inherent dignity of hard work; they will vote to expand health care coverage to make it affordable to every American; and they will vote to send the corrupt legislators in Washington packing. When Americans vote their consciences in November, they will vote Democrat.

Lew Katz

www.katzforcongress.com
