Perhaps failing to disclose accurately the financial situation of the Padgett business at the time of the SBA loan application may qualify her. Does anyone truly believe that the business was healthy enough to qualify for a loan such a short time before the bankruptcy?

The AP has a GREAT story today on Padgett's gift of a $91,000 interest in the "family farm" to her siblings shortly before her bankruptcy filing. According to Joy, she feared for her life in an upcoming visit to Israel (which she never took), and wanted to be sure her nieces and nephews received the property. The transaction is currently being scrutinzed by a federal bankruptcy trustee.

Could it be that our friend Joy will soon be joining her mentor Mr. Ney in a federal facility?

Dirty Joy Padgett's run for congress just continues to get more interesting...

first her old friend AG Petro had to "clear the air" on some questions of whether she could run or not, now it appears that Dirty Joy is currently in Bankruptcy Court.

According to YDS...

on June 15, 2006, Padgett filed for personal bankruptcy, listing over $1,000,000 of estimated debts and at least 17 creditors, including the State of Ohio and the City of Coshocton.

This is made even more laughable because Padgett sits on the Ohio Senate Finance and Financial Institutions Committee. Apparently the best Ohio Republican's can come up with is a woman who can't even figure out how to pay herself back.
