Sorry, I can't agree with that

Even the Rev. Rod Parsley and Russell Johnson are entitled to their extremist, corrupted views of "Christianity." What they are NOT entitled to do is force those beliefs on others in the mistaken view that anyone who doesn't believe as they do is automatically wrong.

I saw those ads in

I saw those ads in Cincinnati three times in one evening. Great fluff piece. It seems only Mike is running a moderate campaign. Every other republican is running an extreme right campaign focused on religious sentiment. I can't wait until religion disapears from this earth, especially Christianity.

On NBC-4. So I guess he doesn't want the Republican tag in these parts either.

But how does that square with Bush being out here July 1 for a Dewine fundraiser? http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060701/NEWS01/607010361/1056

Joe

1999??????

You are SOOOOOO kidding. I figured it was so minor vote way back in the mists of time since the ad was just so vague and bland and feel-good. But 1999? Gives new meaning to "What have you done for me lately?"

Republican Mike DeWine is having an identity crisis

Mike DeWine began running his TV campaign Sunday with a monumental puff piece on fire fighters. However three things are very interesting about this ad. First it seems to be only running in the North East, it's running very early for a 2 term incumbent Senator, and finally he doesn't mention he is a Republican - at all.
In fact the ad ends with the word "Independent" underlined.

It looks like Republican Mike DeWine is having an identity crisis.

So new Senate race rule. No one is allowed to refer to Mike DeWine without prefacing it with " Republican"

Oh, and in the ad he refers to his work on the fire act, SB1941. It's amazing though - that was a bill he did wayyyyy back in 1999 (106th congress). I mean, really, what has he done lately ? Does he really have to go back 7 years to find his accomplishments ?
