About that ad

My husband commented earlier today...

Unless my pop-up "Where Do Babies Come From" books have lied to me - it's *Black Women* who are aborting Black babies. (If White women were disproportionally aborting randomly race assigned Black babies they might have a point.) What we need to examine are the economic and social policies of the Republicans in charge that make it disproportionally unfeasible for Black Women to carry these pregnancies to term. Who are *really* the genocidal maniacs? Making abortion illegal is not the way to reduce the number of abortions. But, it is very much in line with the punitive, judgemental, "you're on your own" ideology of the right.

And in the forum discussion about the ads, I noted that all of the ads can be heard or read at the Amerca's PAC site. The one with the "brother" talking about getting rid of the problem "toot sweet"--that's how they spell it on the site--is called "Don't go there". It's an especially fine piece of propaganda and stereotyping because, in addition to the offensive business about the "hos", we see that one of the "brothers" speaking has been "changed" since being in the Army. Now he's pro-family and votes Republican. Whereas his lowlife "playa" friend still needs to be convinced.

Oh, they could be plenty more disgusting!

They have no shame~ I feel bad for the decent, normal Republicans who are stuck trying to apoligize for this vile bunch of creeps. They have been truely betrayed, but it takes 2~ the fooler and the fooled~

sick

I got sick to my stomach watching that Hannity & Colmes piece. And Bill Cunningham!?! What an idiot. I didn't think they would sink this low.
