I think Matt's mouth just wrote a check his guts won't cash - like to see him prove me wrong - staff

Matt thinks liberal men are pansies.  I say we find out.

but I'll do it again here. Let's compile a list of liberal men past and present who could kick fatty matty's ass. I'll start:

1. Lyndon Johnson. He was taller than Matt is wide, and I'd bet a lot of money he was a whole hell of a lot stronger in say 1960 than Matt ever has been or will be.

 

p.s. eric, don't hold your breath waiting on any response from him. he talks big and he is big but i'm sure he's as much of a coward as the rest of that crowd.

I don't agree with everything he says but I would be more than happy to stand in for Matt.  I think liberals are pansies too!

Not to often I get a free chance to hand out a beating to a bleeding heart, hide behind a keyboard liberal.  Make sure your medical insurance is paid up!

I read the Oprah post and would have to agree with him. This line of thinking could also be associated with the Rosie "ching chong" O'Donnell.

I despise the right wing nutjobs as well, but, in case you didn't know it, Barbara Olsen died on the plane that crashed into the Pentagon on September 11.  To continue in the boxing meme, that comment was "below the belt".

Great idea Eric! I think that not only is this an opportunity to test Matt's theory, but we can no doubt raise a ton of cash for charity. It's a win-win situation, no matter who wins! Matt can't turn this down, can he? I will personally do what I can to sell tickets for this event.

I think every kid grows up wishing the same thing.  Yes, Ali is one of the greatest fighters of all times.  As an athelete/boxer he will always be known as "The Greatest" - bar none!

I disagree with his actions outside the ring and the people he surrounded himself with. That being said, I would be in awe today if I had the chance to meet him. He is "ALI" - who wouldn't be.

Don't see how or where this post caused challenge to boxing match though.

Like I said - Ali was a great fighter, Thats it! Otherwise he was a trouble maker and draft dodger who deserved to be stripped of his title.

For the record - Eric and I spoke for awhile on the phone today.  While we differ in some views, we agree on some.  Believe it or not, there was no name calling or nothing like that.  It was a nice call and proves not ALL liberals are pansies. I hope he feels the same about me and the Republicans. 

If Eric ever comes to Cleveland, if the democrats will allow it( haha), I will be more than happy to buy him a beer. 

We do agree that both parties, can still stand by their principles, and be able to work together. We as the little guys (both sides) need to push and work to make sure our elected officials work together.

Yep. Ralph is alright by me. Amazing what a bit of civil conversation will do. Appreciate the convo today. I'll share a bit more about it. At the end I explained the reason for my (admittedly juvenile) challenge to Naugle to box. King says to me "Listen, if anyone else calls you a pansy I'll volunteer to hold the towel in your corner while you box". All I needed to hear. Stand up fella, this King. Don't agree with him on most things politics, but he's a good man...and I'd hate to let politics get in the way of acknowledging that. Now...still owe ya the $20. Though Ralph offered to nix the deal, I once heard from someone I admire "my word is my bond". You stepped up and I will settle up on the bet. Just damn glad I rethought that "bet ya a hundred bucks" idea. Whew!

I think this whole thing has backfired on Matty

I'm sure he thought that being a renowned "hippie-buddhist", Eric probably would just get really high and then meditate on the insult. Oops. I wonder how he is going to try and back out of this one. I doubt when he called us pansies he ever expected anyone to say "ok, prove it." This is a movement reenergized--we are now literally willing to slug it out with them.

If it ever comes to pass I will do whatever I can to help raise money for charities. Maybe we should start doing this annually?
