Brunner Supporters: One Executive Committee member thinks you're crazy

Update: There's some debate about this in the comments.

If you've taken part in Jennifer Brunner's 'Hands Off Our Primary' campaign, then one of the Executive Committee members has a message for you: you're crazy.

Amy Groya is a member of the Executive Committee, and responded to the campaign via Twitter and Facebook.  On Twitter, she whined, "Jennifer Brunner is ruining my life!".  On Facebook, she remarked that she had "turned the blackberry on silent" because "I am being harassed by crazies via email".

Who is this lady who thinks that the idea of an open primary is crazy?  She was elected President of College Democrats of Ohio and, as a result, became a member of the Executive Committee.  In December of 2009, she resigned from CDO. Why?  To work on Lee Fisher's campaign in the finance department.  Yet she still retains the Executive Committee seat that is supposed to be occupied by College Democrats of Ohio's president.  Why?

Groya needs to be taken off of the Executive Committee.  One, she's resigned from the position that entitled her to the Committee seat in the first place.  Two, she's insulting members of the political party she's supposed to be representing, and calls those that fight for the idea of an open primary crazy.

Amy Groya claims on Twitter that she isn't on the executive committee and doesn't work for Lee Fisher.
At the ODP Christmas Party in December, she said she was resigning to work for Fisher.
I'll guess we'll see if she shows up to the Exec. Committee meeting on Wednesday.
I would like to clarify a few things for everyone. It is correct that Amy is no longer president of College Democrats of Ohio, I am. The committee will vote to seat me when the meeting convenes on Wednesday. There has been nothing controversial regarding placement and Amy has not cast any votes from the CDO spot on the committee since resigning from CDO. I am not in the seat because due to the bylaws I have not been officially seated (as there has been no meeting of the state exec committee since December). That is my understanding. You ask very viable questions. As to why she is getting emails as a member of the committee would, or how the committee still deem's her membership, I can not speak for... but I do know on Wednesday everything will be as it should.  I hope this clarifies. http://www.ohiodems.org/about/bylaws/ http://www.ohiocollegedems.org For any further questions that any reader has about CDO, its leaders, or what we are doing to help elect Dems, please contact me. Thank you.
Thanks for clearing that up, Mr. Duncan. Congratulations on your new election. Can we get your e-mail address so you can hear from grassroots Democrats on this issue? And could you tell us what position you plan on taking on behalf of the College Democrats as to whether there should be an ODP endorsement this close to the primary in the Senate primary race when it's an open seat race being fielded by two successful statewide candidates? After all, that is why people have been trying to contact Ms. Groya.

An official statement will be made in the coming days, and before the vote. I would LOVE to hear from grassroots Democrats if they are so inclined to contact me. If anyone should want to contact me, I will gladly accept all emails to xbobby100x@gmail.com which is my personal email.

I appreciate your reaching out to us here. E-mail coming tomorrow.
So I just had another fun Facebook exchange with Amy Groya! She updated her status to say, and I'm paraphrasing because she deleted me as a friend: Now I totally know why the mainstream media disregards the blogs because they do no factchecking and are completely unreliable! I knew this was in response to the article I did about her on Buckeye State Blog, so this was my response: "Amy, in December you told myself and many others that you were leaving to accept a paid position in the Fisher campaign. This isn't something that I'm making up, I've confirmed it with several of our mutual acquaintances. You'll also notice that my article didn't say that you were still getting paid to work for Fisher, but said that you left College Democrats of Ohio to work for Fisher. If this isn't true, then you can't blame fact-checking or research, you have to blame yourself for lying to me and so many other people. And, in regards to your Executive Committee membership, we had a heated Facebook exchange about the emails, during which your arguments were: 'Jennifer Brunner is ruining my life! These people are crazy! Jennifer has compromised my personal information!' It's only when the blogs broke the story did you start claiming that you were no longer on the Executive Committee. So, in the interest of fact-checking and research, on what date did you offer your formal resignation from the Executive Committee?" Her response? She deleted my comment and removed me as a friend. She then posted that I was crazy and should go attempt to ruin somebody else's life.
As my friend Bobby has stated on here, on Wednesday he will be seated on the Committee as President of College Democrats of Ohio. He has not been seated yet because the meeting on Wednesday is the first since Amy's resignation. As Bobby stated, we are all here to help elect Democrats and continue the Governors road to recovery for our state. This post does nothing to bring our party together.
