Bill Todd "Make It Hurt So Good"

Admin - Posted on 21 June 2007

In about 45 minutes at 11am I have a feeling things are going to start hurting for Bill Todd. As we noted yesterday, today at 11am Arnabeck is begining the process of a RICO suit against the Ohio Chamber that could have massive ramifications not only on the future of Bill Todd's mayoral campaign and the Chamber, but also Republican aligned campaign activities against Democratic candidates such as Robie Resnick. The neat thing about RICO suits is that you just never know how far they're going to go. So we could be in for surprise city with this one.

As Progress Ohio notes:

Arnebeck will release and discuss a document to formally put the Ohio Chamber of Commerce on notice to maintain all records related to Ohio Supreme Court campaigns and related expenditures, in anticipation of the filing of a corrupt practices (state RICO) lawsuit against the Ohio and U.S. Chambers of Commerce based upon their pattern of activity, beginning with their attack upon Justice Alice Robie Resnick in 2000, to permanently tilt Ohio Supreme Court elections in favor of Republican candidates.

...last year, a Chamber aligned group, Citizens for a Strong Ohio, dropped the last of repeated appeals filed by Columbus Attorney Bill Todd to Court decisions against them, in what the Plain Dealer described as “a losing fight to overturn repeated rulings in courts and before the Ohio Election Commission that it acted improperly ” Plain Dealer , December 30, 2006

Mmmmm, so much fun to see Bighead on the other end of the stick. Which makes me question, what do y'all think the mood is like at the Todd campaign headquarters. Do you think today's news hurt Todd as bad, as say, this? It's got to be close to that.
