Bill Todd CONTINUES to falsely accuse Mike Coleman of committing a felony

Apparently, the Republicans agree what came out from the IG's report on Frankie Coleman isn't bad enough.  They feel they need to continue to lie about it.  From today's Columbus Dispatch:

"William M. Todd, the mayor's GOP challenger in the Nov. 6 election, said he considers Mrs. Coleman's hiring as a Strickland transition staffer the issue most relevant to local voters.

Mayor Coleman chaired Gov. Ted Strickland's transition committee, and Todd says the mayor violated anti-nepotism laws when Mrs. Coleman got a $28.85-an-hour job in the transition office.

Except that the IG's report expressly found that the decision to hire Coleman for the transition team came from John Haseley, the transition team's director, not Coleman.

But Strickland has said the mayor was not responsible for hiring transition staffers, and the mayor said Wednesday that all he did in the chairman position was advise the governor on policies and cabinet members.

"They made the decisions of who's hired to do what," Coleman said. "I have no authority, had no authority and continue to have no authority on who the governor or anyone else hires in state government."

Pathetic.  Bill Todd has absolutely no basis to allege Mayor Mike Coleman broke any laws, and his allegations are in direction contradiction to the findings of the Inspector General's report.  Has this man any shame?  Is he so desparate to win that the prospect of Frankie Coleman going to prison isn't enough for him to win that he needs to make the public believe that her husband should be going as well?  Is there anything this man won't say or do in his quest to advance his political ambition?
