Big Surprise: Ohio's Newspapers Proven to Be - Get this - Conservative

Just in from our friends over at Media Matters. The think tank analyzed each one of Ohio's daily periodicals to determine the political leanings of their opinion columnists. The results? Let's just say that the GOP's "Lib'url Media" motiff might be more than a little off.

Of all columnists in Ohio, conservatives dominate the press.

The disparities get a litte better when you factor in the circulation and reach of those periodicals, but its undeniable that that conservatives still dominate the press under any circumstances.

In fact, of Ohio's 84 periodicals, only 7 have a liberal columnist majority. The media just ain't what it used to be, eh? In fact, of Ohio's top ten columnists only three lean progressive.
