Ryan Fissel, Contributer
Ryan is a lifelong Ohioan who has lived in every corner of this great state. Growing up in Youngstown, he learned the importance of the labor union and Bocce. Attending middle school in Columbus, he learned the importance of local government and of 10 foot statues of corn. Now he lives in Cincinnati where he knows what it means when people ask “Have you thanked J. Ralph Corbett today?” He has been involved in Democratic politics since his mother dragged him door to door extolling the virtues of Walter Mondale. Recently, he completed a degree in history and is now working on another degree, this time a Master of Humanities from an esteemed school right here in the Buckeye State. He has also managed political campaigns, designed literature, websites, and contribution cards and marched in more parades than he can count (his favorite being the Obetz Ohio Zucchini Festival Parade.) Ryan enjoys “The Big Lebowski” and might, from time to time, quote The Dude in his columns.
